Educational Leadership…the basics

I read and talk a lot about educational leadership. There are constantly evolving topics and trends that take up the space on twitter, Facebook, blogs, higher ed classrooms, conferences and other forums. It’s great stuff and always exciting to see new ideas and perspectives. But sometimes it’s refreshing to be reminded of the basics. This post was a helpful, clear and timely reminder of what its really all about without trying to sum it up with a catchy phrase or a complex new idea.

Pedagogical Leadership” from Eric Sheninger

Relationships, resources, meaningful feedback, continuous learning for all and helping everyone implement effective strategies. That’s it.

(except for fire alarms, covid management, hiring, admin meetings, lost lunch cards, dunk booth appointments, email, supporting admissions, student discipline, HR matters, unexpected reptile on campus,……….)
